On January 29, 2011, Spread the Love Charity will be hosting the 2nd annual “Get Your <3 On. Again.” benefit!

We’ll have food, beer, and wine so bring your appetite!

We’ll be raffling off a slew of prizes and gift cards, along with a brand-spanking new Amazon Kindle so you can get your read on. Bring a fistful of cash so you can enter to win!

Remember, STL is a non-profit charity so all proceeds go to those needing financial assistance dealing with cervical cancer or detection testing. That should make you feel good.

We’ll be partying for a good cause during the last week of cervical cancer awareness month.

It’s an all-day event with local bands, artists, and vendors. Things will get cranking around noon, and we will party until 6 (or they kick us out!). Admission is free but we will be collecting donations for Spread The Love to benefit Stephanie and women like her, and to help promote awareness of the importance of cervical cancer screenings.

We’ve got some great bands lined up, with a little something for everyone:

* Silent auction including original works from FSU fine art students and other local artists.

* Craft and bake sale with delicious delights from Bacon ‘n Bakin. All proceeds going to Spread The Love.

*Bloodmobile on hand for blood drive.

* 50/50 and merchandise raffle. All proceeds will go to Spread The Love.

* Starseas Cafe will be providing food and beverages.

We are looking for volunteers to help staff an event, and donations from businesses to raffle off. Here’s the scoop:

Spread The Love Charity Fund Raiser (Get your <3 On!)
When: January 30, 2010
Where: Railroad Square
When: Noon – 6:00 pm-ish
What: All-day concert featuring over a dozen local bands, a silent art auction, and a raffle. Food and alcohol will be provided by Star Seas cafe.

We will need volunteers all day, morning and afternoon shifts. We also need donations from local businesses including gift cards and merchandise, anything we can raffle off for a good cause! If your group or organization would like to have a table at our event, please let us know!

As always, any money we raise right now is going directly to help Stephanie, AKA Danger S, with day to day bills to help support her during her fight against cervical cancer.

- Deathroll (and more!) at Big Daddy’s. Doors open at 7:00, show starts at 8:00. There is a $5 cover charge. A portion of the cover will be donated, and we will have Rollergirls there to collect donations.

- Whale & The Tundra at Bird’s. Show starts at 10:00 pm. No cover. We will have Rollergirls there to collect donations.

Saturday, December 5th

- Bring in your flier to Brueggers and a portion of your sale will be donated to STL!

- Benefit poker game at Chris’ house. Buy in is $30, with $10 going toward STL. There are still a couple seats left, so RSVP to chris dot gohlke at yahoo dot com to reserve your spot now!
